Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement

Opuliss is committed to making opuliss.com accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We design and test our digital experience against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the current W3C Recommendation published 5 October 2023 and updated 12 December 2024. Because WCAG 2.2 is backwards-compatible with WCAG 2.1 and 2.0, content that meets WCAG 2.2 also meets the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard that courts apply under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 USC §12182).

What we test for

  • Keyboard navigation across every interactive element, including the cart, checkout, account, and product detail pages.
  • Screen reader compatibility with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver, including correct semantic structure, ARIA labels, and announcement of dynamic content changes.
  • Color contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and graphical interface components, in both default and dark display modes.
  • Visible focus indicators that are at least 2 CSS pixels thick and meet the WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 2.4.13 (Focus Appearance).
  • Alternative text on every product image, hero image, ingredient diagram, and informational graphic.
  • Captions and transcripts on video and audio content, where applicable.
  • Form labels and clear error messages that meet WCAG 2.2 Success Criteria 3.3.1, 3.3.2, and 3.3.3.
  • Reduced-motion alternatives for any animation that would otherwise auto-play.

Our process

We audit opuliss.com using a combination of automated tools (axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse) and manual testing with assistive technology. New features ship through an accessibility review before going live. We track open issues and remediation timelines and update our process as the W3C publishes new guidance.

Reporting an issue

If you encounter content that is difficult to access, or if you have feedback that would help us improve, please write to us at info@opuliss.com. Include:

  • The URL of the page where you encountered the issue.
  • The assistive technology you are using (screen reader, voice control, switch, etc.) and its version.
  • The browser and operating system you are using.
  • A brief description of what happened and what you expected.

We acknowledge every accessibility report within five business days and work to remediate issues that block essential tasks (browsing, purchase, account management, contact) on a priority basis. If a remediation will take longer than five business days, we will provide an alternative way to complete the task you were trying to perform.

Standards we follow

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA (W3C Recommendation, October 2023, updated December 2024)
  • Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 USC §12182, and 28 CFR Part 36
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, 29 USC §794d, where applicable
  • EN 301 549 for visitors based in the European Union

Third-party content

Some content on opuliss.com is provided by third-party services such as payment processors, customer review widgets, embedded media, and analytics. We hold these partners to the same accessibility standard but cannot guarantee complete conformance for content we do not directly control. If you encounter an accessibility barrier with third-party content, please report it to us and we will raise it with the relevant provider while offering an alternative path for the task you were trying to perform.
