The formula

A twist-up brow pencil that defines and fills the brows with fine, natural, hair-like strokes. A firm wax core of beeswax, microcrystalline and synthetic waxes holds a precise tip and lays down soft, buildable color that grips the brow and stays put through the day. The retractable tip needs no sharpening; build from a light, natural fill to a bolder, fully defined brow.

Taupe is a warm, soft taupe.

Finish: natural · Coverage: buildable · Long-wearing
Paraben-free. Cruelty-free. Made in North America.

The science

  • 643 cosmetic uses evaluated

Boron Nitride assessed by the CIR Expert Panel across 643 VCRP-reported formulations at concentrations up to 25% in eye shadow, with zero genotoxicity and zero sensitization confirmed in clinical testing.1

  • 51 triglycerides assessed

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride confirmed safe across all current cosmetic practices of use and concentration as part of a CIR comprehensive safety assessment covering 51 evaluated triglyceride esters with no skin sensitization identified at use-level concentrations.2

  • 2 peer-reviewed studies

Tocopheryl Acetate backed by published research confirming bioavailable conversion to free tocopherol at the skin surface and measurable antioxidant activity in the stratum corneum of leave-on cosmetic applications at concentrations below 1%.3,4

  • 3 FDA-approved colorants

Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, and Yellow 5 Lake are all FDA-approved colorants carrying specific CFR permanent listing status, with Iron Oxides and Titanium Dioxide exempt from batch certification and all three approved for eye-area cosmetic use.5
