Concealer
Concealer operates under higher coverage demands than foundation while targeting areas of the face with greater anatomical sensitivity. The periorbital zone, the primary target for concealer application, has skin approximately 0.5mm thick, significantly thinner than the cheek or forehead, with a denser microvascular network that makes it more reactive to ingredient contact and more visually responsive to hydration status.1 A concealer formulated only for opacity will crease into the fine orbital lines it is meant to cover. One formulated for both coverage and skin compatibility behaves differently on that tissue.
The Opuliss Concealer is built on cyclopentasiloxane and a trimethylsiloxysilicate film-forming system that creates transfer-resistant coverage without the rigidity that causes creasing in high-movement areas. Polymethyl methacrylate provides smooth slip during application and soft-focus optical diffusion of surface imperfections. Sodium hyaluronate is present as a humectant active, directly relevant to the periorbital zone where dehydration accelerates the appearance of fine lines that concealer is applied to address.2 Hydroxyacetophenone functions as a mild antioxidant and preservative booster with a well-documented low-sensitization profile in leave-on periorbital products, a relevant distinction given that the skin around the eye is the most sensitization-prone zone on the face.3 Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate provides SPF-relevant UV attenuation within the formula. Xanthan gum stabilizes the emulsion structure. The full colorant palette is iron oxides and chromium oxide only, within EU approval for periorbital use.
Coverage that accounts for the biology of the skin it is covering.
