Lipstick
The average person who wears lipstick ingests approximately 24 milligrams of lip product per day through incidental contact, rising to 87 milligrams in high-use scenarios. Research from UC Berkeley's School of Public Health established these figures by analyzing lip product use across 360 women and converting ingredient concentrations to estimated daily intake values.1 The ingredient list of a lipstick is therefore a more consequential document than that of almost any other cosmetic product worn daily.
The Opuliss Lipstick carries one of the most extensive plant oil and butter matrices in the lip category. Hydrogenated olive oil and Olea Europaea fruit oil deliver oleic acid and squalene. Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil contributes tocopherols and phytosterols. Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil adds exceptional oxidative stability, resisting rancidity under the temperature and light exposure a lipstick faces daily. Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter and Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil provide lauric and palmitoleic acid fractions respectively. Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter and Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter contribute anti-inflammatory triterpene fractions documented in peer-reviewed literature via COX-2 pathway inhibition.2 Sodium hyaluronate provides humectant contact at the lip surface. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, a lipid-soluble stabilized Vitamin C derivative, supports collagen synthesis activity in an oil-compatible form that standard ascorbic acid cannot achieve in an anhydrous formula.3 Tocopherol and tocopheryl acetate complete the antioxidant layer.
A lipstick formulated as though the ingredient list will be read, because it should be.
