Virtual Try-On Privacy Notice

This notice covers Opuliss's live Virtual Try-On, the on-device mirror that lets you preview a shade on yourself using your camera. We built it to run entirely on your own device, because trying on a shade should never cost you your privacy.

1. What happens, and what we keep

To place the shade accurately, the try-on reads the position of your facial features from the live camera image, in the moment, directly in your browser. This happens on your device only and is discarded instantly, frame by frame, as the preview updates. No photo, no video, and no facial data is ever uploaded to Opuliss, saved, or shared with anyone. Opuliss does not create, possess, or retain any image or biometric information from this tool, so there is no retention schedule to apply and nothing to delete.

Anonymous usage. Separately, and only after you agree to start, we record anonymous usage of the try-on, for example which shade you preview on which product, so we can improve the shopping experience. This usage record never includes your photo, video, or any face data, and it is the same kind of anonymous analytics described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Where the processing happens

Only on your own device, by software running in your browser, the same kind of on-device face mapping modern phone cameras use. Opuliss does not receive, process, or store your image. To run the try-on, your browser downloads the face-tracking software from a third-party content network (Google / jsDelivr), the way it loads any web-page resource; this shares only standard connection data, such as your IP address, with that network. Your camera image is never part of it and is never sent.

3. What it's for

To help you preview how a shade may look on you before you buy. What you see is a guide only; actual color varies with your lighting, your screen, and your skin.

4. Your camera, your control, and age

Your browser asks your permission before the camera turns on, and you can turn it off at any time. We use the camera only on the try-on screen, and only while it is open, and you never need an account. The Virtual Try-On is intended for people aged 13 and older.

5. If we ever add a "save your look" feature

Today, nothing you see leaves your device. If we later offer an optional way to save or share a rendered image, which would send a photo to an imaging partner, it will carry its own clear, separate consent and its own notice. We will never change this on-device promise quietly.
