The eyelid is the thinnest skin on the human body, measuring as little as 0.2 mm in some patients, and it sits directly over one of the most vascularized tissues on the face.¹ Eyeshadow pigments pressed against that surface spend hours in direct contact with periorbital skin. What they are suspended in matters as much as the color they deliver.

Both the matte and shimmer formulas in this collection are built on a jojoba seed oil and caprylic/capric triglyceride carrier. Jojoba (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) is a liquid wax ester structurally similar to human sebum, documented in clinical literature to reduce transepidermal water loss and reinforce the skin's hydrolipid barrier.² Caprylic/capric triglyceride, derived from coconut oil, is one of the most extensively studied emollient esters in dermatology for its skin compatibility and low sensitization potential. The matte formulas use synthetic fluorphlogopite, a lab-synthesized mica with a more uniform platelet structure and lower heavy metal contamination risk than mined mica. The shimmer formulas carry tocopherol (Vitamin E) as an antioxidant stabilizer. All colorants are drawn exclusively from the EU-approved eye area positive list.
