The formula

A pressed mineral powder foundation that works two ways: swept on dry for a natural matte finish that keeps shine in check, or pressed on damp for fuller, closer-to-skin coverage. Boron nitride and nylon-12 scatter light to soften the look of pores and uneven texture, while an absorbent mineral blend helps hold down surface oil through the day.1 A silicone emollient system keeps the powder smooth and skin-true rather than dry or chalky, and the formula is talc-free.

Candlelight is a fair shade with cool undertones, made for fair to light skin.

Finish: natural matte, soft-focus · Coverage: buildable, wet or dry · Talc-free
Paraben-free. Cruelty-free. Made in North America.

The science

  • 643 cosmetic uses evaluated

Boron Nitride assessed by the CIR Expert Panel across 643 VCRP-reported formulations at concentrations up to 25%, with zero genotoxicity and zero sensitization confirmed in clinical testing and a conclusion of safe in present practices of use and concentration.1

  • Up to 67% concentration evaluated

Mica confirmed safe as used in leave-on cosmetic formulations across the full concentration range reviewed in the CIR safety assessment published in the International Journal of Toxicology.2

  • 51 triglycerides assessed

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride confirmed safe across all current cosmetic practices of use and concentration as part of a CIR comprehensive safety assessment covering 51 evaluated triglyceride esters with no skin sensitization identified.3

  • 2 FDA GRASE Category I actives

Both Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide in this formula carry the highest FDA safety classification for sunscreen active ingredients, each approved at concentrations up to 25% under the 2019 Sunscreen Monograph Final Administrative Order.4
