Asteraceae botanical disclosure: this product contains Bidens Pilosa Extract from the Asteraceae (daisy) plant family, which includes beneficial botanicals (chamomile, calendula, helichrysum) and common allergens including ragweed. Users with a known sensitivity to plants in this family (ragweed, chamomile, arnica, chrysanthemum, marigold, echinacea, or yarrow) may be at higher risk of contact sensitivity. Contains naturally occurring fragrance allergens (Geraniol, Citronellol, Linalool, Citral). Patch test on the inner forearm for 24 hours before facial use.
Bidens Pilosa Extract delivers the botanical retinoid-pathway approach. Ye 2025 showed that a fixed-combination test cream of 0.035% andrographolide plus 0.35% Bidens Pilosa Extract activated retinoid X receptor (RXR) alpha and enhanced extracellular matrix protein gene expression in dermal fibroblast and keratinocyte models. The human clinical cohort (n=14 crow's feet, 4-week split-face versus 0.1% retinol comparator) showed wrinkle, elasticity, and hydration improvements without irritating side effects1. The clinical signal is fixed-combination, not Bidens monotherapy. Dieamant 2015 separately documented a standardised supercritical CO2 Bidens extract modulating RXR and RAR receptor expression in human dermal fibroblasts and ex vivo human skin fragments3. Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Fruit Extract supports the appearance of the skin barrier via a flavonoid and carotenoid antioxidant composition. Gu 2022 studied Total Flavonoids of Hippophae rhamnoides (TFH), an isolated flavonoid fraction at 0.5% and 1% TFH cream that is chemically distinct from whole Fruit Extract, so the mechanism class extends to the whole Fruit Extract in this product at supporting tier only2. Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil, an emollient plant oil, conditions the skin through its linoleic and alpha-linolenic essential fatty acid composition. Multi-Weight Hyaluronic Acid pairs surface-hydrating and stratum-corneum-penetrating molecular weights4.
