The formula you chose

The formula's texture at macro scale, BLACKBERRY BOTANICAL PURIFYING MOUSSE

BLACKBERRY BOTANICAL PURIFYING MOUSSE

Purifies and comforts skin

Deep-cleanses pores with an airy botanical mousse.

The texture

The Blackberry Botanical Purifying Mousse is a sulfate-free face wash that cleanses acne-prone skin with a mild sugar-derived and amphoteric surfactant blend, lifting sebum and daily impurities without harsh defatting. Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, an antioxidant polyphenol, joins Sage and Sweet Flag in a skin-conditioning botanical base. The soft mousse dispenses as a cushion and rinses cleanly with lukewarm water, leaving skin comfortable and visibly clarified.

The study behind it

Aloe Vera leaf juice is studied in cosmetics for its humectant, soothing properties.1

  1. 1 Dal'Belo SE, et al. Skin Research and Technology, 2006 (PMID 17026654).

How to use it

  1. Pump one to two doses onto wet palms or directly onto a wet face.
  2. Massage gently over face and neck, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  3. Suitable for daily morning and evening cleansing. The 190 ml format supports roughly 10 to 14 weeks of standard daily use.

Where every routine begins

What each formula is built to do

Purifies and gently exfoliates

LACTIC ACID PURIFYING CLEANSER

Lactic Acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid that improved skin smoothness when applied twice a day for three months, at 5% and 12%. In this cleanser it exfoliates during the brief cleansing window before rinsing.1

Clarifies blemish-prone skin

SALICYLIC CLARITY TONER

Salicylic Acid is a beta-hydroxy acid documented in cosmetic dermatology for exfoliating the stratum corneum and loosening the debris that gathers in pores.2

Balances oil, evens the look of tone

NIACINAMIDE SKIN BALANCING GEL FOR MEN

Niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3, is studied in cosmetics to support the appearance of oil balance, with published research on topical niacinamide reporting reduced facial sebum production.3

Absorbs excess oil, leaves a matte finish

KAOLIN PURIFYING CLAY MASK

Kaolin clay is studied in cosmetics for absorbing excess surface oil.4

How these formulas were chosen

Formulated for skin that is oilier and more congestion prone in appearance. These are non stripping cleansers, light textures and clarifying formulas, chosen so a routine can stay gentle. Persistent or painful breakouts are worth taking to a dermatologist.

The actives behind the collection

The six actives found most often across these formulas.

Rhamnose

A plant sugar. In lab-grown skin and in a clinical study, rhamnose had a positive effect on collagen IV and procollagen I production, in the skin layers that ageing affects.

Pageon H, et al. International Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2019 (PMID 30845349).

Zinc PCA

The zinc salt of PCA, long used in cosmetics as an astringent. In lab tests on human skin cells it curbed a collagen-breaking enzyme that UVA light switches on, and raised collagen production.

Takino Y, et al. International Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2012 (PMID 21834944).

Kaolin clay

Mineral clay that absorbs excess oil. A kaolin and bentonite clay mask lowered skin oil over four weeks of twice-weekly use.

Zhang X, et al. Skin Research and Technology, 2023 (PMID 38009030).

Lactic acid

A gentle AHA that exfoliates to smooth texture and refine the look of tone.

Smith WP. Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 1996 (PMID 8784274).

Multi-weight hyaluronic acid

Known for its strong water-binding potential. In a 60-day study, hyaluronic acid creams improved skin elasticity compared with a placebo cream.

Pavicic T, et al. Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, 2011 (PMID 22052267).

Bidens pilosa

A plant-based retinol alternative. Tested on its own in the lab, it gave a small rise in the activity of RXR alpha, a receptor retinol also works through, without activating the receptor linked to retinol irritation.

Ye S, et al. Biomolecules, 2025 (PMID 40001599).
